shoutout to essential oils and sprays

....for trying their best to keep me sane during the past year and some, and all the past years before that.

Here's what I've used up in the past month or so -

Aromaforce Peppermint oil is one of my favorite peppermint oils - I use peppermint pretty much daily against headaches, anxiety and general head fogginess.  I use it both in a diffuser as well as schmearing a drop under my nose and/or on my forehead.  Saje Deep Breath was for my diffuser; it's a good one with eucalyptus, peppermint and lavender.  I hate lavender, but you can't even smell it in this one, or at least I can't.  Saje Peppermint Halo - another great peppermint oil for headaches.
Forest Garden is a local company and this Citrus Cream oil blend is one of the best I've ever tried.  So good.  I have a bottle of their peppermint oil in my purse at all times.  Essenza Rosemary Mint came in some sort of kit.  Very minty.  Saje Rainforest - a woodsy one, not super strong.
Saje Energy Mist - I love a mist, and this is a really good one, with peppermint, lemon and rosemary.

Treat yourself - Shower Steamers

I love me some aromatherapy and I have for years.  Rarely a day goes by that I don't bust out at least one oil.
A video on making "Shower Steamers" popped up in my facebook feed and I was interested - a new way to get a zing of aromatherapy!
These are super easy and don't take much time or equipment.

Here's the link I used - from HGTV.

You mix baking soda and water and press into muffin tins lined with paper liners.
Then you bake them, and let them cool, loosen the paper liners,
and add your oils before you pack them up.

I had some trouble getting some of the liners off the tablets.
Some popped right out, and some did not.

I did 6 peppermint (my favorite oil) and eucalyptus,

And 6 lemon and lime.  3 drops of each oil per disc for both.

The Mister tried one the morning I made them and really enjoyed it.  My nose does not always work well anymore, so I didn't find it very scenty.  And of course, the longer they sit, the more scent they lose.  But - PRO TIP - just add another couple of drops to one right before you get in the shower and POW - smell city.

Essential Elixers

I went to the hospitals Craft Sale at the hockey arena a few weeks ago. I stopped by a table on my way out called Essential Elixers. Aromatherapy has been part of my life for years and years, since I "discovered" it in my early 20's at a health food store in Calgary. The lady running the table was very nice and answered all my questions and helped me pick out a couple of things -

I bought an aromatherapy bracelet - you put a couple of drops of oil on the lava beads and wear away.  I have a lava bead necklace that I love.
I also love the oil that came with this - called Fall in Love.

I liked this spray so much that I bought 2 bottles!  Wake The F Up,
with my favorite scent, peppermint.
