I'M GOING TO LAS VEGAS, BABY!
Yes, in just a couple of hours Scott and I are heading to the airport. This trip is so last minute, it's scary.
Even though I'm going to VEGAS, where I've never been before, where I've wanted to go for AGES, I actually feel pretty bad about not finishing this week off on the blog. While I have made a decision to eat less meat in general, I don't think it's fair to poor Scott to go somewhere so fun and not to be able to eat whatever he wants.

So I promise we'll do another Vegetarian Week again real soon, and I have another theme week planned too.

Have a fantastic weekend. I know I will! See you mid-week, and hopefully Blogger will let me post tons of pictures.

Cheers!

Hi Sara! I actually just got home today from a quick 3 days in Vegas. My husband and live about four hours away, so we've been a few times. I have a couple restaurant suggestions for you (if you're interested). If you want a buffet, Paris has the best one. Bellagio is the biggest, but it lacks in quality and usually has a huge line. The food at Paris is extensive and well-done. It's themed around the provinces of France, and room is designed to look like a cafe. That casino is also one of the prettiest, with cobblestone walkways and mock-storefronts. Yesterday I had a prix fix dinner at Fleur De Lys in Mandalay Bay-that was fantastic! It's done by Hubert Keller, San Francisco restauranteur. They offer 3,4,5 course meals with a lot of selection. The food was very well-executed and the service was great too. There is a huge display of what has to be hundreds of roses on one wall. Stunning room.
There are so many foodie opportunites there, I know you'll have a great time!

I forgot an important bit! Fleur de Lys also had a vegetarian tasting menu (5 courses, $75) that looked great. Have fun!

Don't forget to go see the pirates! That was my favourite part of my Vegas trip a few years back. :)

Love spontaneous trips (we're in Montreal for the weekend) and love Vegas...with Paris being on the top of our list. That's where we stay when we go. The food options are great from buffets to french bistro dining on the patio watching the water show at Bellagio across the street. And snack food takes on a whole new meaning there...wonderful cheeses, breads, wines and pastries from France....so much better than Krispie Kream.

Can't wait to hear all about it
