Mothers Day Week - Layered Tortilla Dip

My parents love to entertain and to try out new recipes all the time. This one was in her arsenal for years. I loved it as a kid and still love it now. I've been making this for parties and dinners ever since I moved out on my own. It's simple and quick to make and is highly addictive.

7 Layer Dip

In a large flat bottom bowl, layer in this order:

1 - 1 can refried beans
2 - 2 avocados mashed with 1 tsp lemon juice and a sprinkle of salt
3 - Mix together - 250 g cream cheese, 1/2 cup sour cream, 1/2 cup mayonnaise
4 - 1 cup salsa
5 - 1 cup sliced black olives
6 - 2 cups grated cheddar cheese
7 - 4 green onions chopped

Cover with plastic wrap and chill for at least an hour before serving. Serve with tortilla chips.

Sara, we have so much in common food wise. The recipes you post are always the ones I would stop and consider if looking through a cookbook!

This is one of the joys of food blogging, meeting new people with common interests and similar tastes!

Thanks for sharing this yummy recipe, it's going on the list for the next time I'm entertaining!
