Sara setting and company change everything it seems to me.
Clamato juice in a bloody mary sounds excellent to me.
I love a good Bloody Mary but only sometimes and then if it isn't really good which often they're not I'm disappointed. There's a company in the UK that do a very good Bloody Mary which you can get in most pubs now. Their website has some interesting stuff including a huge list of ingredients with lots of different spices http://www.bigtom.co.uk/
I do think location and company play a big part in our memory of good and bad tasting food and drinks.
Thanks for the Bloody Mary recipe, it will be my drink tonight!
Cheers!
I didn't realize that Caesars were a Canadian thing. They really are delish! I like a little horseradish in mine.
Love the cocktail book!
I bet the difference was on the ship they didn't use tomato juice, they used V-8 juice (a mix of 8 different vegetables, including parsley). The difference between that and straight tomato juice is night and day. Try it again with the V-8.
