We get our TV channels through the university, and they don't subscribe to the FN. I especially miss Ina Garten and Nigella, not to mention the delightful Alton Brown.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7310300.post-81371984075837395162007-10-23T08:08:00.000-07:002007-10-23T08:08:00.000-07:00Amanda - I've just looked and the new Jamie Oliver...Amanda - I've just looked and the new Jamie Oliver book doesn't come out here until next year. OH well, I guess I can wait. I didn't even know Nigella had a new show, it's not on here. I love long comments, thanks ;)Sarahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14519799778366176741noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7310300.post-41851290221818448392007-10-23T01:08:00.000-07:002007-10-23T01:08:00.000-07:00In the UK, we have something called the UKTV Food ...In the UK, we have something called the UKTV Food Channel that you can get through SKY, I used to watch it all the time. I've weaned myself off it now. The celebrity chefs tend to get their programmes shown on the terrestrial channels then they move to the food channel.
I'm only just watching the lastest Jamie Oliver shows as we recorded them. I've looked through the book and it also looks really good. I'm abstaining from cookery books at the moment so it's on my Christmas list! Along with Nigella's Express, her new series however I am not loving. They've not made her come across that well, which is a shame. The recipes are great though for those days when you can't be bothered to ocok. How's that for a long comment...Amanda at Little Foodieshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08262887792010049693noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7310300.post-71959527560129185372007-10-22T20:43:00.000-07:002007-10-22T20:43:00.000-07:00Peter - how could it not? it's gorgeous!Deborah -...Peter - how could it not? it's gorgeous!

Deborah - you don't get jamie????? that's awful.

Katerina - the beans are good. I have to say that I was put off Jamie for a while, but I've come back around with this series.

Tanna - I wish I watched less tv. Can't seem to do it though. I always have it on for background noise.

Shaun - I will have to keep an eye out for the book, I'd love to have it.

Kevin - my husband isn't a fan of Tyler, and always talks back to the TV if he is on. I like the idea of his show, one that another Brit, James Martin, is also doing/has also done. I might pick up the book next month when I purchase Diana Henry's latest.

Sometimes beans and sausages are the only way to go, whatever the recipe is called. I love that the tomatoes and garlic sit in the water with the beans.Shaunhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08345640038135299538noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7310300.post-63310963925180011852007-10-22T11:16:00.000-07:002007-10-22T11:16:00.000-07:00Bean & Hamburger soup is on my stove top now.
